Hossam Saeed Ali (حسام سعيد), born on 27 August 1977, is an Egyptian businessman, restaurateur, and public servant widely recognized for his ability to bridge large-scale private enterprise with national policymaking. With a career spanning consumer electronics distribution, award-winning hospitality, and public office, Saeed has emerged as a prominent figure shaping both market dynamics and institutional frameworks in Egypt and the wider Middle East.

Operating primarily between Egypt and Dubai, his professional journey reflects strategic vision, operational scale, and a commitment to long-term economic development.

Born and raised in Cairo, Egypt, Hossam Saeed Ali comes from a family with deep roots in the electronics trade. His family established a consumer electronics business that, by the late 2000s, had grown into the largest distributor of Samsung consumer electronics in Egypt, covering smartphones, tablets, and advanced display technologies such as LED and plasma screens.

Alongside his early exposure to the electronics industry, Saeed pursued higher education in Hospitality and Tourism, signaling an interest in service-driven industries that would later become a defining pillar of his diversified business portfolio.

Following his formal education, Saeed assumed a central leadership role within the family enterprise, expanding its operational footprint and strengthening international partnerships. Today, he is recognized as the primary distributor of Samsung Egypt, with operations spanning the entire Egyptian market.

Under his leadership, the company has maintained long-standing strategic alignment with Samsung, securing nationwide availability of its products and reinforcing the brand’s leadership position in Egypt. His partnership with Samsung has been marked by multiple formal recognitions and appreciation awards, highlighting steady performance, resilience during global market challenges, and noteworthy contribution to the success of the partnership.

This role places Saeed at the center of Egypt’s consumer technology ecosystem, requiring advanced expertise in logistics, regulatory compliance, financial management, and large-scale market strategy.

Beyond technology, Hossam Saeed Ali has successfully expanded into the hospitality sector, establishing himself as a respected restaurateur in the Gulf region. He is the owner of ZouZou Dubai, a Turkish (and broader Middle Eastern) dining concept that has grown into one of Dubai’s most recognizable restaurants.

ZouZou Dubai has earned multiple accolades and industry recognitions, including features and awards from Time Out Dubai and What’s On Dubai. These honors reflect the restaurant’s success in combining cultural authenticity, premium quality, and an elevated dining experience within one of the world’s most competitive hospitality markets.

The brand has expanded with multiple branches across Dubai and the region, reinforcing Saeed’s reputation for building scalable, high-performing lifestyle businesses.

In parallel with his private-sector achievements, Hossam Saeed Ali has taken on a significant role in public service. In 2025, he was appointed as a Senator in Egypt, where he contributes to national policymaking with a focus on economic growth, business-friendly legislation, workforce development, and private-sector engagement.

He also serves as Assistant Secretary-General for Entrepreneurship (2025–2030), a role dedicated to supporting startups, small and medium-sized enterprises, and innovation-driven initiatives. In this capacity, Saeed advocates for entrepreneurship as a cornerstone of economic resilience and sustainable development.
