Judge exposes Kinnara Capital CEO Adrian James Campbell swearing under oath to a false affidavit to conceal a criminal past.
Adrian James Campbell, the CEO of cross-border investment entity Kinnara Capital (also operating as Kinnara Asia), has established a multi-jurisdictional footprint promoting property developments and commercial schemes across Australia, South-East Asia and Bali. While publicly marketing offshore ventures, Campbell has accumulated a 17-year history of regulatory enforcement, civil disputes and criminal convictions spanning multiple corporate entities.
A Federal Court ruling in Brisbane has delivered a major reprimand to Campbell. Handing down Campbell v McIntyre (No 2) [2026] FCA 1279, Justice Derrington discharged interim injunctions obtained by Campbell after uncovering “exceptionally serious” non-disclosures in his sworn evidence. In an initial affidavit, Campbell swore under oath that he had never been convicted of any criminal offence in Australia, a claim exposed as false when a later affidavit was forced to acknowledge his extensive criminal record. The court dismissed his bid for relief and ordered him to pay 80 per cent of legal costs on an indemnity basis.
The public judgment published on the Federal Court of Australia website directly details Campbell’s true record. The court notes his 2018 guilty pleas in Southport Magistrates Court to 11 counts of making false and misleading representations through Eco Boss Pty Ltd, drawing an $85,000 personal fine and $102,200 in restitution orders. The presiding magistrate characterised that conduct as deliberate and “a scam,” alongside documented 2012 fraud convictions and five 2015 consumer-law convictions involving unsupplied solar installations.
