INDOBALINEWS — The Federal Court’s discharge of interim restraints against LUX Property Group founder Jamie McIntyre has opened a new chapter in a dispute over millions of dollars in investor funds linked to the former Marina Bay City development in Lombok. On 20 August 2026, the Court discharged interim restraints obtained by Adrian Campbell against McIntyre and ordered Campbell to pay 80% of McIntyre’s costs relating to the interim proceedings.
McIntyre said the decision allowed him to speak more freely about matters he considers relevant to the dispute. “The Federal Court outcome was a major victory for transparency,” Jamie McIntyre said during a press conference in Seminyak, Bali, accompanied by her Indonesian legal counsel, Widya Friday September 4, 2026.Unduh Panduan Wisata Baca Juga: British National Found Dead at Villa J.B. in Badung Bali, Police Investigate Cause of Death “Those restraints have now been discharged, and that history can no longer be suppressed.” According to material relied upon by McIntyre, Campbell also apologised to the Court for failing to disclose relevant matters when initially seeking orders without notice. McIntyre says a subsequent affidavit disclosed aspects of Campbell’s criminal and regulatory history in Australia.
The ruling has also intensified LUX’s demand for a full accounting of investor payments. The company alleges that approximately A$10 million was collected through accounts associated with Hilton Wood, while only approximately A$3.18 million was transferred to LUX Property Group, according to financial information attributed to independent auditors. LUX therefore alleges that approximately A$6–7 million remains unaccounted for. “The central question remains simple: approximately A$10 million was collected, only approximately A$3.18 million reached LUX, and approximately A$6–7 million remains unaccounted for,” McIntyre said. “If there is an innocent explanation, Mr Campbell and Mr Wood should release the complete bank statements and show investors where every dollar went.”

Separately, McIntyre has served concerns notices on two parties concerning publications he alleges contained false and seriously defamatory claims. The notices remain part of an ongoing dispute and do not establish that the publications were defamatory. The financial allegations, including the alleged missing funds, remain disputed and have not been finally determined by a court. The submission of information to police does not establish wrongdoing, and all individuals are entitled to the presumption of innocence. ***
