How Piazza Garibaldi Is Blending Function and Flair in Every Room

Luxury design often evokes images of ornate chandeliers, rare marble finishes, and rooms curated more for display than daily life. That image is shifting. A growing number of high-end clients now seek spaces that offer beauty with balance—places that support comfort, rhythm, and routine. Denise Muraro, founder of Piazza Garibaldi Design, has built her career on meeting that demand.

Her firm, which spans residential estates, city penthouses, and superyacht interiors, delivers environments where function enhances form rather than interrupts it. “A beautiful space is not enough,” Muraro says. “It must work beautifully, too.”

The company’s full-service structure is a key part of its identity. Unlike many design studios that hand off key tasks to separate contractors, Piazza Garibaldi manages every phase from architectural layout to installation. Clients receive spaces that are not only visually cohesive, but technically sound—reflecting a vision executed without compromise.

Muraro’s path to the luxury sector began with her roots in Italy, where traditional craftsmanship and technical excellence are viewed as inseparable. That influence carries through in the firm’s work today. The name Piazza Garibaldi signals a connection to place and permanence, while the designs themselves feel contemporary, grounded in clarity and timeless proportion.

Projects are guided by an internal team that merges architectural planning with deep interior detailing. This integration means that from the earliest concept, every line and surface is designed to reflect both the client’s aesthetic preferences and their lifestyle.

“Our clients want elegance, yes—but they also want silence, flow, and ease,” Muraro explains. Functionality is treated not as a feature to be concealed, but as a core element of design. Lighting systems, acoustics, and layout decisions are all tailored for natural use.

Yacht design has become one of the firm’s distinctive offerings. These projects demand a unique understanding of spatial engineering and durability, where every material must perform under movement, moisture, and exposure. Piazza Garibaldi’s yacht interiors blend rich textures and high-end finishes with performance elements like marine-grade fixtures and custom storage solutions.

The firm’s residential work follows the same principle: beauty must support living. Clients are drawn to Piazza Garibaldi not just for its surface-level appeal, but for homes that adapt to their needs. In private residences, hidden storage, thermal efficiency, and seamless smart-home systems are often embedded behind sculptural walls or under bespoke cabinetry.

This fluency in both design and technical execution has positioned the firm for ongoing growth, with projects expanding into New York, the Hamptons, Miami, and parts of Europe. Each property is approached as a long-term living environment, not a stage for short-lived trends.

“We don’t believe in off-the-shelf luxury,” Muraro says. “Everything is contextual. Every line and surface has a purpose.”

Clients today expect more than visual appeal. They want homes that anticipate how they move, think, and feel throughout the day. The emphasis is no longer solely on what can impress a guest, but on what supports private moments—quiet mornings, busy schedules, and effortless transitions.

Piazza Garibaldi responds to this demand with careful attention to detail. Materials are selected for both longevity and beauty. Design meetings address functionality early, not as an afterthought. From yacht salons to mountain retreats, every space is crafted for both performance and poise.

Muraro’s leadership continues to define the firm’s tone. Her vision combines discipline with emotion, drawing from years of rigorous practice and a deep respect for craftsmanship.

“Design isn’t just about what you see,” she says. “It’s about what you feel when no one else is watching.”

Rather than chase spectacle, Piazza Garibaldi chooses refinement. The rooms it delivers may be photographed for their beauty, but they are built to be lived in—quietly, intuitively, and fully. In that, the firm has carved out a place for itself within the highest tier of international design.
