Univest Securities, LLC (“Univest”), a FINRA- and SEC-registered full-service investment bank headquartered in New York City, has recently shared news of a strategic investment and partnership with Nestpoint Group, a government affairs and private equity firm based in Washington, D.C. and Dallas. This alliance represents a step forward in Univest’s long-term growth strategy and is intended to enhance the firm’s capacity to serve global clients amid evolving regulatory and economic conditions.

Under the leadership of Edric Yi Guo, Univest Securities has developed a reputation as an advisor to high-growth companies seeking capital market access and expansion strategies. With a transaction history reportedly exceeding $1.7 billion—including IPOs, SPACs, M&A, and PIPEs—the firm combines industry-focused insight with cross-border advisory capabilities, particularly in the Asia-Pacific region.

“This partnership with Nestpoint supports our mission to offer clients not only financial services, but also strategic insights informed by public policy,” said Edric Yi Guo, CEO of Univest Securities. “In today’s interconnected environment, financial innovation benefits from alignment with regulatory awareness and global strategy—and that’s what we aim to provide through this collaboration.”

Founded in 1994, Univest Securities offers a wide array of services, including capital markets advisory, sales and trading, investment banking, and wealth management. The firm has become increasingly active in assisting international companies in accessing U.S. capital markets via NASDAQ and NYSE listings, offering support across the process from early-stage preparation through post-listing advisory.

Edric Yi Guo, who holds dual bachelor’s degrees in Finance and Real Estate from the University of British Columbia, has led Univest through a period of strategic exploration and international development. Under his guidance, the firm continues to explore avenues in fintech, ESG investing, and digital assets, while maintaining a presence in significant financial and regulatory centers.

“Our goal is to deliver cohesive, informed solutions that respond to the complexities of today’s global economy,” Guo added. “This partnership with Nestpoint broadens our ability to provide thoughtful guidance—and ideally, support our clients as they navigate economic transformation.”

The partnership with Nestpoint Group brings an added dimension to Univest’s offerings. Nestpoint, known for its work in public affairs, trade policy, and regulatory strategy, may help enhance Univest’s efforts to serve clients operating where finance intersects with policy. Nestpoint’s base in Washington, D.C., combined with Univest’s execution services, is expected to contribute to a platform geared toward market expansion and policy-aligned planning.

Clients of both firms could benefit: Univest clients may gain access to Nestpoint’s policy expertise, while Nestpoint’s network of companies and partners may find value in Univest’s financial services for growth and capital formation.

As financial markets become more influenced by regulatory environments, Univest Securities is positioning itself to adapt to this changing landscape. Through its alliance with Nestpoint Group, the firm aspires to expand its scope and redefine how an investment bank can function in a period of economic and regulatory realignment.

Founded in 1994, Univest Securities is a boutique, full-service investment bank headquartered in New York. With reach across North America and the Asia Pacific, Univest offers services in investment banking, capital markets, and wealth management to clients around the world.
