📰 What Happens to the Original Marina Bay City Brand?

Following Lux Property Group’s acquisition of Marina Bay City Lombok in October 2025 and the installation of new management, the project has entered a new chapter.

It is now being reborn under a new name and concept:

🌿 Nesara Bay City

with its official home now at nesarabaycity.com.

This shift has prompted a common question:

What happens to the original Marina Bay City brand?

🏷️ Lux: “We Still Own Marina Bay City”

Lux Property was unequivocal in its response:

“The Marina Bay City brand remains our legal property.
We still own it completely.
We have simply chosen not to actively use it as the public-facing brand going forward.”

The decision to rebrand was not driven by:

❌ Weakness
❌ Project failure
❌ Abandonment

Instead, Lux describes it as a strategic move to protect investors and eliminate brand abuse.

⚠️ Why the Rebrand Was Necessary

For some time, third parties had been using the Marina Bay City name to:

• Promote unrelated projects
• Market developments they did not control
• Allow buyers to believe they were purchasing into the official Marina Bay City project

In many cases, investors only discovered after the fact that they were never buying into Marina Bay City at all.

This created confusion — and opportunity for deception.

🔄 How the Nesara Bay City Rebrand Solves the Problem

By transitioning the project to the Nesara Bay City brand:

✅ There is now a clear and unambiguous distinction between the real project and unauthorised operators
✅ Anyone still using the Marina Bay City name can be instantly identified as acting without authority
✅ It becomes far easier to stop:
• Misleading conduct
• Investor deception
• Fraudulent representation

Lux explained the strategy clearly:

“We still own Marina Bay City.
But by no longer using the brand publicly, we make it impossible for others to hide behind it.
If anyone is using that name today, it is a clear signal they have no legal right to do so.”

🛡️ Investor Protection Through Clarity

This move is designed to:

• Protect future buyers
• Strengthen legal enforcement against fraud
• Ensure all genuine sales occur only through:
• Nesara Bay City
• Official Lux Property Group channels

📌 In Summary

• Marina Bay City remains Lux Property’s intellectual property
• Nesara Bay City is the future-facing identity of the development
• Any third-party use of the old brand is a red flag for deception
• The rebrand converts confusion into clarity — and misuse into something easily exposed

🧭 Conclusion

Nesara Bay City is not just a new name.

It is a clean line in the sand — one that:

✔️ Protects investors
✔️ Ends bait-and-switch tactics
✔️ Permanently shuts down brand misuse in the Lombok property market
